Reef Clothing Blackpool Shuts Doors
Due to substantial drops in high-street buying and unforeseen building issues we have lost a prominent independent retailer in Blackpool center for at least the formidable future.
Reef clothing ceased trading at it’s Blackpool branch recently due to a massive loss the shop had incurred.
This is mainly due to the location of the shop i believe, but recently they were situated by a building site for the up and coming new shopping complex due to be opened around 2009.
Even as a loyal customer to the shop I have to admit the surroundings were less than adequate to run their business.
This is a shame on many levels as there isn’t a shop which markets the more punk, retro and band era styles in the same way for miles around.
But the good news is their branch’s in Preston and Blackburn are still open for business as usual, but for all us that don’t have our own transport it seems we have to go a little out of our way to make a purchase.

Katie,
Thanks for the information, unfortunately im not sure where Reef is going wrong.
I always loved the clothes and style, although I did sometimes think they could be a little friendlier on the pocket!

I went to the Blackpool one today only to find it closed! Wish I’d read this before. I hope it does reopen as it’s the only clothes shop I like in Blackpool!
