I have just recently discovered ShowClix, a new online service providing access and information to all the shows going on around the UK (and the world). There is an excellent social networking side to the website, meaning you build your own profile, mark the shows your going to see, buy tickets, sell tickets and generally interact with other concert goers.

There isn’t a great deal of shows for Blackpool yet but they do have the upcoming Van Morrison concert that I am going to, which I tagged on my profile - check it out on my profile!

ShowClix also offer an interesting blog reporting on music, celebrity, shows and concerts.

So hopefully as it takes off, Showclix will be a nice little website for us live music fans - see you on there!

    Yeah, the lack of European content is the one thing that’s really bothering me. I just hope they get enough of the less independent artists’ shows listed, so that they manage to attract users, until there’s a big enough community that the more independent artists also get listed or list themselves. Cos that’s where the really interesting stuff happens :)
