Fury at Football Pitch Plan in St Annes near Blackpool
Once again the councilors take the fate of a recreational playing field into their own hands.
St Annes playing field will be built on by Kensington Developments on the Blackpool road north near where Blackpool Airport previously owned land on a larger site across the road and transformed this into new sports facilities.
Will this proposal fail due to public outcry as previous other plans for this site have?
The details have not yet been released but all local resident have passed views on opposing the plans.
Not only a place for children to play but this scenic site is greatly loved by local people, dog walkers and the elderly.
We are destroying all green land and over running our town with roads, buildings and killing local wildlife in the process.
An increased number of local resident believe if this plan is given to go ahead it will force them out of the area.
This is a rural area and to build on it would be a travesty!
The Fylde council’s cabinet will consider the plans at a meeting at St Annes town hall.
Are affordable homes a genuine enough reason to destroy what is left of green land?
A source is revealed to have said: “It is important to establish if the plans are of benefit to the community and we are a long way away from this being approved”.
