Dr Who to Switch On Blackpool Lights

It has been anounced that David Tennant, the latest actor playing the leading role in popular TV Show Dr Who, will switch on the lights this year.

It is good to see a bit of organisation this year - last time around it was only two days before the event that Dale Winton and Peter Kay were announced.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will be creating a display entitled Decodance for the big switch on, which this year is on Friday 31st August.

The lights will be switched on at aproximately 9.25pm at the rear of Coral Island (view map)

    Hey I was just wondering. When David does switch on the lights thisyear in Blackpool, will he stay behind to meet fans and to sign autographs and have pictures wih them?
    I hope he will!
    If not could you ask him for me?

    hi i just wanted to know i have drawn some cool animation pics of david tennant and rose plus martha from doctor who i hope i can give him my designs that would be so cool if i did i am going to blackpool on the 31st august can you buy a signed autograph of him because i want his autograph i am a big fan of him and i am a special needs girl i hope i do see him he is the best n1 doctor anyway thanks byee
